George and Kevine was thinking about that room, sitting in the small room alloted for them in the bunglow. Kevine couldn’t find any system having documents about the room by infiltrating the military network.
“John, I think he had kept the documents in a server, which is not connected to any device. The server or the system would be connected only to the security systems.”
“What do you mean? Can you do that?”
Kevine looked at the roof.
“It is not easy, we have to find the system firstly.”
“Then?”
“We need to plan accordingly.”
“What you guys are discussing? Anything confidential?”
It was Katherine who just entered the room. She was slowly walking towards them.
“Nothing confidential as you also is a part of our team.”
“Oh, happy to hear that.”
She smiled at John.
“Katherine, do you know any computer system or server that is in this bunglow?”
Kelvine asked.
“Yeah, I have a personal system. And there is a military server….. Yeah, dad also had one in his room.”
“I know about the server and one of the personal systems. Do you know the configurations of your dad’s system? Did you ever used that?”
“No, he won’t allow anyone to use that. The room is not very secured, but no one generally enters into that room. It looks much like a normal system.”
“There we are!”
“What do you mean?”
John was so curious about that.
“I mean nothing, this is only a guess. The system we are searching for would be the one kept in General’s room.”
“Then how can we get access to that? But, why did he kept it in his room?”
“I have an infiltration device and software. But we need to install that into the system. He did that just because he is not an ordinary one.”
“But, how?”
“Both of us can’t do that, only Katherine could do that.”
“Do we really have to involve her in this.”
Katherine placed her palms on John’s hand.
“John, I am with you. Don’t worry about me.”
Kevine handed over a USB and a device.
“In the system, there would be a VGA port where you have to plug this device. VGA port is not generally used nowadays, but it is still there in the systems. And you need to plug in this USB, and have to switch on the button on the USB. Then you could see an installation screen, when it is completed you could take back the USB, all of its contents would be self destroyed in next two minutes.”
Katherine was listening carefully.
“Ok…” She said after taking a deep breath.
She went out of the room. She was little nervous, but tried to hide it from everyone. General was not there. But, still there was guards at the door of his room. But, she is allowed to enter that room.
After entering the room, she looked around to make sure that there is no one inside. The VGA port was in the backside of the CPU. The device was so small so that anyone would barely detect that. She plugged in the USB, and pressed the switch on it. The installation process was begun. The process was quite fast, but when it marked 10% he could hear sound of some vehicles outside. She looked through the window. It was General. She became nervous. She felt that the clock was ticking slowly. She could feel drops of sweat was rolling down trough her forehead. When it reached 99%, she could hear someone’s hand placing on the handle of the door. She could also hear the sound of the guard’s boot from which she could understand that they was saluting someone. She was almost sure that her father was on the other side of that door. Any moment he would enter to the room. If he ask what she was doing there, how could he justify herself? There was a lot of questions that was coming into her thoughts. Suddenly she noticed her childhood picture hanging on the wall. When it hit 100%, he unplugged the USB and leaned to take that picture. Exactly at that moment general entered that room. He looked at Katherine.
“What are you doing here.”
“Dad, I wanted to see this picture as this is one of the few thing that I have to remember about my childhood.”
She explained showing the picture in her hand. She managed to hide the USB. Thankfully the monitor was off.
She quickly went towards the door. General turned towards her and said.
“Katherine, please handle it carefully, that picture is so dear to me.”
She couldn’t say anything. She thought that she was doing something terribly bad for one moment. Then she wanted to confess everything. But, she managed to hide the emotional fluctuations inside her. She ran towards her room.
In John’s room, they was still looking at the monitor. Suddenly John could see a smile on Kevin’s face.
“What is it Kevine?”
“She did it. I got the access.”
“Great, she did a great thing. Quick Kevine….”
“Yeah, I am checking, now I have access to all files, but they all have code names. There is many files.”
“And most importantly I think there is a pseudo log in time generator for this system.”
“What is that? How does it matter?”
“Well each computer usually stores time of log ins and duration of sessions. But for this there is 20-25 sessions each day, all ranging only upto 5-10minutes. And what we have to do is to add additional biometric files to the security files of the room. But this have to be done between two consecutive usage of the system as otherwise he could see that and.. .”
“Let us first find the file we are searching for.”
“Yeah.”
John looked out through the window. He could only see frozen ground much like his mind at that moment. But suddenly he could see rays coming out of the clouds.
“That documents are so important for him, and could be personal also. That could be the reason for keeping it seperately from the military server. And if you are thinking about it that could be something from his past. So my suggestion is to search for some names which contains terms like “memory” or something in which one would keep things which are important or dear to them.”
“John, there is a folder named “Grave of Memories”.”
“There was a custom of keeping things used by one in the grave of a dead one. And it is never opened after that, it is said to be a safest place for hiding secrets. And that too of memories. General is too poetic. Open that”
“I think you are right. I could see details and blue prints of a room inside this bunglow, having three layer of security. And there is no details about things inside the room. There is only one biometric file in the access files, which would be definitely that of General.”
“Yes, I told you……”
John was very happy watching that.
“But, John we still need help from her to know the exact time when General is using the system. Otherwise we cannot do anything. He could simply find all these if something went wrong.”
Kevine looked at John seperately. He seems to be happy.
“Let’s hope my friend, let’s hope for the best. I feel we could enter that room without anyone else knowing about it.”
Kevine couldn’t say anything seeing the conference on his friend’s face. Afterall he also felt that they are going in the right direction. They had reached to that point starting from nothing. There wasn’t even a clue about all these. It was all based on their guesses. John looked at the sky and took a deep breath.
